Women's CAN: South Africa beats Burundi (3-1) and qualifies for the quarterfinals

The South African selection qualified for the quarter-finals of the African Cup of Nations (CAN) women’s football (Morocco-2022), beating its Burundian counterpart with the score of 3 goals to 1, Thursday in Moulay El Hassan complex in Rabat, in a match counting for the second day (Group C).

The goals of the South Africans were signed Thembi Kgatlana (20th), Aniella Uwimana (30th) and Amogelang Motau (32). Linda Motlhalo scored the only goal for the Burundians from the penalty spot (54th).

Thanks to this victory, South Africa totals 6 points after beating Nigeria (2-1), eleven times African champion, during the first day.

Botswana, which won against Burundi (4-2), is in 2nd place (3 pts).
