With more than 1,000 cases identified, the CS and RSK regions most affected by contamination

This Sunday, July 3, Morocco is reporting 1,720 new confirmed cases of coronavirus, for a national total since the start of the epidemic of 1,225,305. The regions of Casablanca-Settat (CS) and Rabat-Salé-Kénitra (RSK) the most affected by contamination.

Currently, the total active cases rise to 25,319, including 182 in serious condition. As for the geographical distribution of new cases recorded in Morocco in the last 24 hours, it is the CS region which once again comes first among the most affected regions with a total of 579 cases (448 in Casablanca, 67 in El Jadida, 27 in Nouaceur, 17 in Mohammadia, 9 in Settat, 9 in Berrechid, 1 in Médiouna, 1 in Sidi Bennour).

The second region in the ranking is that of RSK which counts 402 new infections (209 in Rabat, 70 in Skhirate-Témara, 61 in Salé, 33 in Kénitra, 19 in Sidi Kacem, 8 in Sidi Slimane, 2 in Khémisset), notes the MoroccoLatestNews monitoring and follow-up platform, www.moroccolatestnews.com.

It is followed by the Marrakech-Safi region which has identified 230 positive cases (122 in Marrakech, 46 in Rehamna, 21 in El Kelaâ des Sraghna, 21 in Youssoufia, 11 in Safi, 7 in Chichaoua, 1 in Essaouira, 1 in Al Haouz), then that of Fez-Meknes with 141 new cases (Fez 74, Meknes 35, Taza 15, Ifrane 8, El Hajeb 7, Taounate 2), and that of Tangier-Tétouan-Al Hoceima which shows 135 new contaminations (Tétouan 40, Tanger-Assilah 34, 25 in M’Diq-Fnideq, 20 in Al Hoceima, 10 in Ouezzane, 4 in Chefchaouen, 2 in Larache).

Then comes the region of Souss-Massa which has identified 114 cases (91 in Agadir-Ida-Ou-Tanane, 15 in Tiznit, 4 in Inezgane-Ait Melloul, 4 in Chtouka-Ait Baha), and Béni Mellal-Khenifra which has recorded 60 cases (36 in Khénifra, 17 in Béni Mellal, 4 in Khouribga, 3 in Fquih Ben Salah), then the Oriental region which recorded 35 cases (17 in Nador, 14 in Oujda-Angad, 4 in Berkane ).

The Draâ-Tafilalet region recorded 15 cases (6 in Tinghir, 6 in Errachidia, 2 in Ouarzazate, 1 in Zagora), followed by the Laâyoune -Sakia El Hamra region with 5 cases (3 in Laâyoune, 2 in Tarfaya) and finally the region of Dakhla-Oued Eddahab which identified 4 cases all in the city of Oued Ed-Dahab.

The Ministry of Health thus invites citizens to respect the rules of hygiene and health safety as well as the preventive measures taken by the Moroccan authorities by showing responsibility and patriotism.
