The Casablanca-Settat and RSK regions most affected by contamination

This Tuesday, July 12, Morocco is reporting 587 new confirmed cases of coronavirus, for a national total since the start of the epidemic of 1,242,828. The regions of Greater Casablanca-Settat and Rabat-Salé-Kénitra (RSK) are the most affected by contamination.

Currently, the total active cases rise to 17,302, including 147 in serious condition. As for the geographical distribution of new cases recorded in Morocco in the past 24 hours, it is the Greater Casablanca-Settat region which once again leads the most affected regions with a total of 146 cases (101 in Casablanca, 27 in Settat, 7 in Mohammadia, 5 in Nouaceur, 3 in El Jadida, 1 in Berrechid, 1 in Benslimane, 1 in Sidi Bennour).

The second region in the ranking is that of Rabat-Salé-Kénitra which counts 129 new infections (89 in Rabat, 12 in Kenitra, 12 in Salé, 9 in Skhirate-Témara, 7 in Sidi Slimane), notes the monitoring and followed by MoroccoLatestNews,

It is followed by the Oriental region which has identified 76 positive cases (40 in Oujda-Angad, 11 in Taourirt, 11 in Berkane, 8 in Nador, 6 in Figuig), then that of Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima with 58 new cases (19 in Al Hoceima, 12 in Larache, 11 in Tetouan, 10 in Tangier-Assilah, 5 in M’Diq-Fnideq, 1 in Ouezzane), and that of Fez-Meknes which shows 50 new contaminations (37 in Fez, 11 in Meknes, 1 in Taza, 1 in Moulay Yaacoub).

Then comes the region of Marrakech-Safi which has recorded 41 cases (21 in Marrakech, 15 in Youssoufia, 3 in El Kelaâ des Sraghna, 1 in Essaouira, 1 in Al Haouz), and Béni Mellal-Khénifra which has recorded 32 cases ( 15 in Fquih Ben Salah, 13 in Khouribga, 3 in Khénifra, 1 in Béni Mellal), then the region of Draâ-Tafilalet which identified 21 cases (12 in Tinghir, 5 in Ouarzazate, 3 in Errachidia, 1 in Zagora).

The Souss-Massa region recorded 20 cases (11 in Agadir-Ida-Ou-Tanane, 4 in Tiznit, 3 in Inezgane-Ait-Melloul, 1 in Taroudannt, 1 in Chtouka-Ait-Baha), followed by the region of Guelmim-Oued Noun which identified 8 cases (7 in Sidi-Ifni, 1 in Assa-Zag) and finally the region of Laayoune-Sakia El Hamra which identified 6 cases (4 in Tarfaya, 2 in Boujdour).

The Ministry of Health thus invites citizens to respect the rules of hygiene and health safety as well as the preventive measures taken by the Moroccan authorities by showing responsibility and patriotism.
