The 14th US-Africa Business Summit from July 19 to 22 in Marrakech

Morocco is hosting, from July 19 to 22, 2022, in Marrakech the 14th edition of the US-Africa Business Summit, an event aimed at promoting business and investment opportunities between the United States and African countries.

According to the organizers, the choice of Morocco to hold this summit, for the first time in North Africa, reflects the Kingdom’s commitment to the sustainable development of the African continent and a better integration of its economies into the chains of global value.

It also testifies to the common desire to reposition Africa in international trade flows, in a context of post-covid economic recovery and reconfiguration of the international economic chessboard.

This Summit, organized by the “Corporate Council on Africa” (CCA) under the theme “building the future together”, represents an opportunity to consolidate the strategic positioning of Morocco, the only African country to have concluded a free trade agreement with United States, as a hub for Africa and a reference economic partner for the United States.

The 14th edition of the US-Africa Business Summit, which will see the participation of a large American government delegation, African ministers and decision-makers from the largest American multinationals and African business communities, will be an opportunity to establish future-oriented US-Morocco-Africa tripartite business partnerships.

It will be marked by the holding of high-level dialogues, plenary sessions, panels, round tables and side-events around the continent’s priorities in terms of food security, health, agriculture, energy transition, new technologies, infrastructures and integration of industrial ecosystems.

Created in 1993, the CCA, the main private American organization focused on Africa, organizes the US-Africa Business Summit annually with a view, among other things, to forging US-Africa partnerships in a win-win approach.
