ONDA explains recent disruptions

The recent disturbances recorded in the transport of luggage to Morocco’s airports have their origin in international airports, according to the National Airports Office (ONDA).

“Following the disturbances recorded in the transport of luggage to Morocco’s airports, ONDA, while expressing its deep regret for the travelers who have had to undergo this situation, provides the following clarifications: These disturbances originate in the international airports of origin (particularly European and North American) »indicates the Office in a press release.

According to the ONDA, these disturbances are due in particular to social movements of the personnel of certain airports and airlines throughout the world and to technical problems in certain airports (Heathrow, Charles De Gaule, etc.). It is also about the fact that faced with the health crisis, airlines and airports have reduced their staff and are slow or finding it difficult today to recruit to cope with the resumption of air transport.

The combination of these factors has led to a situation of chaos in these airports and serious malfunctions in the routing of baggage and have had a domino effect on a global scale.

The staff of ONDA, its public partners as well as that of the airlines and their handlers, are highly mobilized and work tirelessly to allow the rerouting of luggage, once arrived at the airport, to their recipients”the statement concludes.
