Martil: Launch of Day Clinic services

The Minister of Health and Social Protection, Khalid Ait Taleb, accompanied by the Wali of the Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima region, Mohamed Mhidia, kicked off the services of the Martil Day Clinic on Wednesday. .

This health establishment, whose launch took place in the presence of the governor of the prefecture of M’diq-Fnideq, Yassin Jari, of the president of the Hassan II Foundation for the promotion of social works for the benefit of the personnel of the public sector of the health, elected officials and civil society actors, was carried out in application of the royal instructions relating to the reform and rehabilitation of the health sector, and within the framework of the strengthening of the supply of care and the establishment of universal health coverage.

This hospital structure, located in the Al-Aghras El Bayt El Atiq district in Martil, was built by the Ministry of Health and Social Protection, on a total area of ​​approximately 26,000 m2, including 5,494 m2 covered, with a capacity 34 beds, and an overall budget envelope estimated at 89 million dirhams. The clinic is made up of specialized units for external examinations with a capacity of 9 beds, a sampling unit, and units for specialized medical consultation, physiotherapy, functional exploration, and hospitalization. .

In addition, this clinic is made up of other medico-technical units with a capacity of 25 beds, and includes services including: emergencies, radiology, laboratory, UTA maternity hospital block, operating block, resuscitation, and a sterilization room, in addition to a pharmacy, a morgue, administrative offices, a kitchen and a laundry room.

In a statement to the press, the Minister stressed that this public health establishment will provide health services to the inhabitants of the city of Martil, which experiences a large influx of summer visitors during the summer period, specifying that the clinic and its staff are mobilized to provide their services within the framework of the policy of proximity to citizens, in order to reduce the cost of care and save patients from traveling to other health facilities for treatment.

Ait Taleb affirmed that this health establishment is equipped with high quality modern medical and biomedical devices, which will ensure the implementation of the regional medical program, noting that all executives will be mobilized to bring medical services closer to citizens.

In this regard, he recalled that the royal instructions relating to the reform of the health sector are based on the development of human resources and the guarantee of local health services. For her part, the director of the Day Clinic, Meriem Esso, indicated that this health establishment has the latest medical technologies, which will make it possible to provide public health services to the inhabitants of the city and the prefecture, noting that the staff of the hospital is mobilized to provide all the services in all the specialties available to the establishment.

And in order to ensure quality services at this Clinic, the Ministry of Health and Social Protection has mobilized qualified human resources, made up of general practitioners and nurses, in addition to administrative and technical staff.

It should be noted that this day clinic in Martil is part of the reduction of territorial disparities, and the strengthening of the local health offer at the level of the Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima region, thus making it possible to save the population to travel to other health facilities far from their place of residence in search of care.
