Lassaad Chebbi new coach of Difaâ El Jadida

The Difaâ El Jadida club formalized on Wednesday the arrival of Tunisian coach Lassaad Jarda Chebbi for two seasons to replace Algerian Abdelhak Benchikha.

During the presentation ceremony, the Tunisian technician expressed his joy to return to Morocco and in particular to Difaâ El Jadida who knew great players like Ahmed Makrouh and his sports director Aziz Bouderbala known to all Tunisians who are.

He added that the Jdidi club which has been trained by big names like Hassan Chahata, Abdelkader Amrani, Jamal Sellami and Badou Zaki is a great team with strong supporters and players, adding that he will work with the director’s office to place the Difaâ in the first six places of Botola during the next season.

Regarding the human composition, the Tunisian coach indicated that he will meet the players in order to determine their physical and technical abilities, as well as the youngsters and the hopefuls, adding that he will allow the players who have received financial offers to leave the club in consultation with the management office.

For his part, the president of the club, Abdellatif Moktarid indicated that the technical committee of Difaâ El Jadida has chosen the Tunisian coach who graduated from Germany thanks to his record in Morocco, Tunisia, Thailand and Austria.

He added that the reports of the departure of several players are false, specifying that Hamid Souadou is the only one to have left the club and that the list of departures and new signings is the responsibility of the new coach.

Lassaad Chebbi coached Raja Casablanca as a replacement for Jamal Sellami, with whom he won the Arab Championship and the African Confederation Cup.
