In a joint statement, following a meeting organized by the leaders of the three parties constituting the government majority and led by Aziz Akhannouch head of government, the National Rally of Independents (RNI), the Authenticity and Modernity Party (PAM) and the Istiqlal Party (PI) reaffirmed this Friday, July 29 their commitment to cooperate and work towards the constitution of a majority in the councils where they are present agree on political support for the government and interaction with the expectations of Moroccans.

In addition to the SG of the RNI, assisted by the Minister Delegate to the Head of Government in charge of Relations with Parliament, government spokesperson were present, the leader of the PAM Abdelatif Ouabhi and the SG of the PI, Nizar Barakat. The latter were accompanied respectively by Fatima-Zahra Mansouri, Minister of National Territorial Development, Urban Planning, Housing and City Policy and Chiba Mae El Aïnain, President of the National Council of the Party of the Istiqlal.

During the meeting, the three parties stressed the need for continued coordination between the majority components and their political support for the government in order to continue to upload the government program and interact with the expectations of citizens in these difficult times and to support their purchasing power. For its part, WFP also referred to the difficulties faced by the national economy and referred to practical suggestions prepared by the organization’s Economic Vigilance Committee to mitigate the crisis.

A source from the PAM, explained to MoroccoLatestNews that the party will continue its support for the government, but this will not prevent its political office from alerting on the shortcomings of the government’s work, as well as its call to activate the charter of the majority and to work in a participatory manner between its various components. This same source indicated that the majority charter provided for the creation of a body of experts from the government majority, composed of the skills of the three parties that make up the government majority, adding that this body was to be activated at the present time. in order to provide appropriate proposals and advice to the government, in response to legitimate requests from citizens.

MoroccoLatestNews has learned that the majority leaders have agreed on the need to hold a meeting every month in order to study the country’s political and economic news. The RNI, PAM and PI parties that make up the government, aware of the political responsibility incumbent on them, stressed that they had signed a majority charter last December, by which they undertake to defend the territory with determination, to carry out to many advanced regionalization workshops and to activate the contents of the new development model, which aims to create a Morocco whose wealth will flourish and materialize the dignity of all its citizens. In order to organize the work of the majority parties, the aforementioned charter provided for the creation of a body, composed of the general secretaries of the majority parties.

According to the Majority Charter, meetings of the Governing Majority Presidency Council may be held in the presence of the Deputy Secretaries General, one Deputy for each Secretary General. The Presidency of the Government Majority is headed by the leader of the RNI, Aziz Akhannouch, in his capacity as Head of Government and has the obligation to evaluate the stages of implementation of the government program, follow the stages of its downloading, and study major national issues and developments on the political scene. The charter also provided for a coordinating body between the majority groups in the House of Representatives and another coordinating body in the House of Councilors.

Finally, on the occasion of the 23th anniversary of the enthronement of King Mohammed VI, the three parties presented their most respectful wishes for happiness and long life to the King, as well as to the royal family and the Moroccan people.
