CS and RSK regions still the most affected by contamination

This Friday, July 8, Morocco is reporting 2,451 new confirmed cases of coronavirus, for a national total since the start of the epidemic of 1,238,371. The regions of Casablanca-Settat (CS) and Rabat-Salé-Kénitra (RSK) the most affected by contamination.

Currently, the total active cases rise to 23,254, including 145 in serious condition. As for the geographical distribution of new cases recorded in Morocco in the last 24 hours, it is the CS region which once again comes first among the most affected regions with a total of 814 cases (623 in Casablanca, 55 in Mohammadia, 50 in El Jadida, 27 in Berrechid, 23 in Nouaceur, 14 in Sidi Bennour, 13 in Settat, 6 in Médiouna and 3 in Benslimane)

The second region in the ranking is that of RSK which counts 525 new infections (170 in Rabat, 116 in Skhirate-Témara, 84 in Salé, 67 in Sidi Kacem, 45 in Sidi Slimane, 28 in Kénitra, 15 in Khémisset), notes the monitoring and monitoring platform MoroccoLatestNewswww.moroccolatestnews.com.

It is followed by the region of Fez-Meknes which has identified 391 positive cases (Fez 157, Meknes 80, Taza 51, Taounate 26, Sefrou 21, Boulemane 19, Ifrane 15, El Hajeb 12, Moulay Yaacoub 10), then that of Marrakech-Safi with 180 new cases (Marrakech 93, Youssoufia 31, El Kelaâ des Sraghna 23, Rehamna 13, Safi 10, Essaouira 9 and Al Haouz 1), and that of Tangier-Tétouan-Al Hoceima which shows 155 new contaminations (Tétouan 37 , M’Diq-Fnideq 30, Tangier Assilah 27, Al Hoceima 27, Ouezzane 20, Larache 13 and Fahs Anjra 1).

Then come the regions of Souss-Massa (131 cases), Béni Mellal- Khénifra (93), Oriental (77), Oriental (58), Draâ-Tafilalet (56), Guelmim-Oued Noun (14), Dakhla- Oued Noun (14 cases), and finally Laâyoune -Sakia El Hamra (7).

The Ministry of Health thus invites citizens to respect the rules of hygiene and health safety as well as the preventive measures taken by the Moroccan authorities by showing responsibility and patriotism.
