CS and RSK regions still leading contamination

This Thursday, July 7, Morocco is reporting 2,782 new confirmed cases of coronavirus, for a national total since the start of the epidemic of 1,235,920. The regions of Casablanca-Settat (CS) and Rabat-Salé-Kénitra (RSK) the most affected by contamination.

Currently, the total active cases rise to 23,987, including 150 in serious condition. As for the geographical distribution of new cases recorded in Morocco in the last 24 hours, it is the CS region which once again comes first among the most affected regions with a total of 990 cases (652 in Casablanca, 118 in El Jadida, 60 in Mohammadia, 56 in Nouaceur, 41 in Settat, 20 in Médiouna, 2 in Benslimane).

The second region in the ranking is that of RSK which counts 598 new infections (238 in Rabat, 133 in Salé, 107 in Skhirate-Témara, 57 in Sidi Kacem, 38 in Sidi Slimane, 19 in Kénitra, 6 in Khémisset), notes the MoroccoLatestNews monitoring and follow-up platform, www.moroccolatestnews.com.

It is followed by the region of Fez-Meknes which has identified 285 positive cases (Fez 103, Meknes 70, Taounate 27, Boulemane 18, Sefrou 15, Taza 14, Ifrane 14, Moulay Yaacoub 13, El Hajeb 11), then that of Marrakech-Safi with 239 new cases (Marrakech 108, El Kelaâ des Sraghna 34, Youssoufia 27, Rehamna 26, Safi 20, Essaouira 11, Chichaoua 10 and Al Haouz 3), and that of Tangier-Tétouan-Al Hoceima which shows 180 new contaminations (Tangier-Assilah 55, Tetouan 45, Al Hoceima 29, Ouezzane 25, M’Diq-Fnideq 17, Larache 7 and Fahs Anjra 2).

Then come the regions of Souss-Massa (131 cases), Oriental (120), Béni Mellal-Khénifra (87), Oriental (58), Draâ-Tafilalet (64), Laâyoune-Sakia El Hamra (48), Guelmim -Oued Noun (21) and finally Dakhla-Oued Eddahab (19).
