African Track Cycling Championship: Gold for Moroccans Raja Chaker and Achraf Ed-Doghmi

Moroccan cyclists Raja Chaker and Achraf Ed-Doghmi were both gold medalists on Saturday in Abuja at the 2022 African Track Cycling Championship.

Chaker won this precious metal in the “individual pursuit” category (junior ladies) contested at the Abuja Velodrome, while his compatriot Ed-Doghmi won it in the same discipline, senior men’s category.

Still among the seniors, Mohcine El Kouraji won a bronze medal in the “individual pursuit” event.

In the “American race”, juniors Alaa Aziki and Achraf El-Karimi snatched bronze.

On Friday, the athlete Raja Chaker won another gold medal for Morocco in the “points race” category (junior ladies), while Achraf Ed-Doghmi on Thursday won the first gold medal for the Kingdom in the senior category scratch race.

On the counter of the Moroccan national cycling team after three days of very tight African competition, 4 gold medals, 3 silver and 5 bronze.

Note that the 2022 African Track Cycling Championship takes place from July 14 to 17 in Nigeria.
