A Spanish company will install the cables of the Jorf Lasfer complex

The Catalan company Sumcab will install the technical cabling in the country’s first industrial park in Jorf Lasfer, the company has announced.

Sumcab has received support from ACCIÓ through the Office of Foreign Trade and Investments in Casablanca, to strengthen its presence in Morocco, through the installation of technical cabling in the Jorf Lasfar complex, the country’s first industrial park, with 500 hectares dedicated to industries such as chemicals and metallurgy.

In addition to the Jorf Lasfar complex project, which includes the country’s second port, Sumcab has also extended its presence in Morocco to other chemical phosphate processing plants.

The company specializes in the design, production and supply of industrial cables, has supplied its solutions to various equipment in the Jorf Lasfar complex such as the chemical plants or the desalination plant.

It works with its customers on processes ranging from engineering to the supply of cables that can have different applications such as instrumentation, control, communication or medium voltage (MV). Among the various activities they carry out are industrial robotics, offshore, cable trays and field bus.

The Jorf Lasfar complex incorporates Morocco’s second most important commercial port, from where phosphate rock and chemicals such as pure sulphur, ammonia and sulfuric acid are exported.

“It was very important to be approved by the Office Chérifien des Phosphates (OCP)”, indicated the Export Manager of the Projects Business Unit, Carme Carrasco.
