5,667 active cases nationwide, including 101 severe cases admitted to REA

As of Friday, July 29, the epidemiological report from the Ministry of Health reports 5,667 active cases of Covid-19, under treatment nationwide. Similarly, 9,735 tests were carried out in 24 hours, bringing the national total of tests since the start of the pandemic to 12,219,977.

In addition, Morocco has recorded 5 deaths due to Covid-19 in the past 24 hours. One death was recorded in the city of Oujda-Angad (Oriental region), one death in Marrakech (Marrakech-Safi region), one death in Al Hoceima (Tétouan-Tangier-Al Hoceima region), one death in Agadir-Ida-Ou-Tanane (Souss-Massa region), and finally a death in the city of Tan Tan (Guelmim-Oued Noun region). The total number of deaths at the national level since the start of the pandemic therefore stands at 16,233, while the fatality rate is at 1.29%.

Still in its daily epidemiological report, the Ministry of Health reports 16 new severe cases admitted to intensive care in 24 hours for a national total of 101 critical cases. The cases under artificial respiration stand at 26 cases while 5 others are under intubation.

Regarding vaccination, 24,875,461 people have been vaccinated with D1 since the campaign was launched, including 23,365,660 who received D2, 6,672,456 D3 and 25,578 D4.
