30 bills adopted by parliament during the legislative year 2021-2022

The two Chambers of Parliament have definitively adopted 30 bills during the legislative year 2021-2022, indicated, Friday in Rabat, the Minister Delegate in charge of Relations with Parliament, government spokesman, Mustapha Baitas.

During a press briefing devoted to the government’s record in parliament during this legislative year, Baitas specified that 35 bills had been tabled in the two chambers of parliament, indicating that the number of plenary sessions dedicated to the examination of these texts amounts to 30.

He also said that the permanent committees within the two chambers of parliament held 167 meetings for the examination of these bills.

The number of bills that were still under consideration after the close of the April 2022 session reached 33 bills, 8 of which were adopted by the first chamber and submitted to the House of Councilors when the latter adopted a bill and submitted it to the House of Representatives.

Baitas also welcomed, in a statement to the press, the “serious and responsible” parliamentary action, marked by the examination of issues that affect citizens, while providing answers to topical questions. .

The task of strengthening relations between the legislative and executive powers remains open and requires the contribution of all the parties concerned, he concluded.
