24,776 active cases nationwide

In 24 hours, 13,870 PCR tests were carried out in Morocco for a national total of 12,006,273 tests carried out since the start of the pandemic. Thus, active cases under treatment nationwide increased to 24,776 cases (2.01%).

In its epidemiological report for this Wednesday, July 6, the Ministry of Health reports 153 critical cases admitted to intensive care nationwide, including 26 new admissions in the last 24 hours. Similarly, 6 cases under intubation were identified on Wednesday while the total number of cases under artificial respiration stood at 48 cases.

In addition, Morocco has recorded two deaths due to Covid-19 in the past 24 hours, one in the city of Casablanca (Casablanca-Settat regions) and one death in Fez (Fez-Meknes region). The national total of deaths since the start of the pandemic therefore stands at 16,133. The fatality rate stands at 1.31% this Wednesday.

Morocco has also recorded 3,610 recoveries, bringing the national total since the start of the pandemic to 1,192,229 remissions, while the recovery rate stood at 96.68% on Wednesday.
