150 cases admitted to REA nationwide and 43 on artificial respiration

The occupancy rate of intensive care beds stood at 2.9% this Thursday, July 7. In just 24 hours, 22 new severe cases were admitted to intensive care, bringing the national total to 150 critical cases. The cases under artificial respiration are 43 at the national level while 5 new intubated cases have been identified in the Kingdom, said the Ministry of Health in its daily epidemiological report.

The number of new tests carried out in 24 hours reached 12,656 for a national total of 12,018,929 tests carried out since the start of the pandemic. In addition, Morocco has recorded nine (9) deaths in the past 24 hours.

In details, the region of Casablanca-Settat recorded 4 deaths all in the city of Casablanca, the region of Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima recorded 1 death in the city of Tnager-Assilah, the region of Souss-Massa recorded 2 deaths (1 in Agadir-Ida-Ou-Tanane, 1 in Chtouka-Ait-Baha), and finally the region of Draâ-Tafilalet recorded 2 deaths (1 in Errachidia, 1 in Tinghir). Thus, the national total of deaths since the start of the pandemic stands at 16,142, while the fatality rate is 1.31%.

Morocco has also recorded 3,562 recoveries, bringing the national total since the start of the pandemic to 1,195,791 remissions. The recovery rate stands at 96.75% this Thursday, while the total number of active cases stands at 23,987 cases (1.94%).

With regard to vaccination, the number of beneficiaries of the first dose of the vaccine since the start of the national campaign reached 24,861,479, with 23,348,138 beneficiaries of the two doses, 6,577,915 benefited from the third dose of the vaccine , while 3,733 benefited from D4 according to the department of Khalid Ait Taleb.

The Ministry of Health thus invites citizens to respect the rules of hygiene and health safety as well as the preventive measures taken by the Moroccan authorities by showing responsibility and patriotism.
