14,137 tests carried out in 24 hours, and 26,078 active cases nationwide

In 24 hours, 14,137 PCR tests were carried out in Morocco for a national total of 11,947,692 tests carried out since the start of the pandemic. Thus, active cases under treatment nationwide increased to 26,078 cases (2.14%).

In its epidemiological report for this Friday, July 1, the Ministry of Health reports 180 critical cases admitted to intensive care nationwide, including 38 new admissions in the last 24 hours. The occupancy rate of resuscitation beds dedicated to Covid-19 stands at 3.4%. 8 cases under intubation were identified this Friday while the total number of cases under artificial respiration stood at 57 cases.

In addition, Morocco has recorded four (4) deaths due to Covid-19 in the past 24 hours. One death in Casablanca (Casablanca-Settat regions), 1 death in Rabat (Rabat-Salé-Kénitra region), 1 death in Fès (Fès-Meknes region), and one death in Errachidia (Draâ-Tafilalet region). The national total of deaths since the start of the pandemic therefore stands at 16,113. The case fatality rate fell to 1.32% on Friday.

Morocco has also recorded 2,726 recoveries, bringing the national total since the start of the pandemic to 1,178,088 remissions, while the recovery rate stood at 96.54% this Friday.
