11,679 active cases including 15 severe cases admitted to REA

This Wednesday, July 20, 2022, the epidemiological report from the Ministry of Health reports 11,679 active cases, (2.6%) under treatment nationwide. Similarly, 9,104 tests were carried out in 24 hours, bringing the national total of tests since the start of the pandemic to 12,138,579.

In addition, Morocco has recorded five (5) deaths due to Covid-19 during the past 24 hours. Two deaths were recorded in the Marrakech-Safi region) in the cities of Marrakech and Youssoufia, 1 death in Khouribga (Béni-Mellal-Khénifra region), one death in Tétouan in the Tangier-Tétouan-Al-Hoceima region) and one another in the region of Draâ-Tafilalet in Ouarzazate. The total number of deaths at the national level since the start of the pandemic therefore stands at 16,198 this Wednesday, while the fatality rate is at 1.3%.

Still in its daily epidemiological report, the Ministry of Health reports fifteen (15) new severe cases admitted to intensive care in 24 hours for a national total of 135 critical cases on Wednesday. The cases under artificial respiration stand at 37 cases while 6 others are under intubation.

In addition, and as indicated by the MoroccoLatestNews monitoring and monitoring platform, www.moroccolatestnews.com, the Kingdom has identified in the past 24 hours, 1,209 new confirmed Covid-19 cases, bringing the national total of confirmed contaminations at 1,254,550. The occupancy rate of resuscitation beds dedicated to Covid-19 stood at 2.7% on Tuesday.

Morocco has also recorded 2,077 recoveries, bringing the national total since the start of the pandemic to 1,226,673 remissions. The cure rate, this Wednesday, stood at 97.8%. With regard to vaccination, the number of beneficiaries of the first dose of the vaccine since the start of the national campaign reached 24,868,041, the second dose 23,356,259, the third dose 6,613,974 while the number of beneficiaries of the fourth dose stands at 16,757, according to the Ministry of Health.
