11,138 active cases including 8 severe cases admitted to REA

On this Thursday, July 21, 2022, the epidemiological report of the Ministry of Health reports 11,138 active cases, (2.4%) under treatment nationwide. Similarly, 10,217 tests were carried out in 24 hours, bringing the national total of tests since the start of the pandemic to 12,148,796.

In addition, Morocco has recorded six (6) deaths due to Covid-19 during the past 24 hours. One death was recorded in the Marrakech-Safi region in the city of Safi, 1 death in Kénitra (Rabat-Salé-Kénitra region), 1 death in Settat (Casablanca-Settat region) 1 death in Taroudant (Souss-Massa region) , one death in Berkane (Oriental region) and another in the Draâ-Tafilalet region in Ouarzazate. The total number of deaths at the national level since the start of the pandemic therefore stands at 16,204, while the fatality rate is at 1.3%.

Still in its daily epidemiological report, the Ministry of Health reports fifteen (8) new severe cases admitted to intensive care in 24 hours for a national total of 128 critical cases. The cases under artificial respiration stand at 35 cases while 7 others are under intubation.

In addition, and as indicated by the MoroccoLatestNews monitoring and monitoring platform, www.moroccolatestnews.com, the Kingdom has identified in the past 24 hours, 1,131 new confirmed Covid-19 cases, bringing the national total of proven contaminations at 1,255,681. The occupancy rate of resuscitation beds dedicated to Covid-19 stands at 2.4%.

Morocco has also recorded 1,666 recoveries, bringing the national total since the start of the pandemic to 1,228,339 remissions. The cure rate stood at 97.8% this Wednesday. With regard to vaccination, the number of beneficiaries of the first dose of the vaccine since the start of the national campaign reached 24,869,015, the second dose 23,357,406, the third dose 6,619,812 while the number of beneficiaries of the fourth dose is 17,890, the health ministry said.
