The city of Rabat ahead of Casablanca in terms of infections

Morocco has recorded 274 new cases carrying the coronavirus in the past 24 hours, bringing the total of cases recorded at the national level since the start of the epidemic to 1,170,194.

Currently, the total active cases rise to 2,525, among them, 19 cases are in serious condition. Over the past 24 hours, the number of fully vaccinated people (having received 2 doses) has reached 23,317,291 while the people who have received the 1st dose of the vaccine is estimated at 24,835,755 according to the Ministry of Health. And for the 3rd dose, it is 6,444,203 new doses injected.

As for the geographical distribution of new cases recorded in Morocco in the past 24 hours, it is the region of Rabat-Salé-Kénitra which comes first among the most affected regions, accounting for 112 new infections, of which 88 were detected in the city of Rabat, indicates the MoroccoLatestNews monitoring and follow-up platform, www.moroccolatestnews.com.

Second region in the ranking, the Greater Casablanca-Settat region which displays 84 cases on the counter, including 69 in Casablanca. Follows, Marrakech-Safi with 42 cases including 35 in Marrakech.

The Souss-Massa region has 15 infections, including 12 in Agadir-Ida-Ou-Tanane. A total of 6 cases were counted in the region of Draâ-Tafilalet and Fez-Meknes.

Finally, 5 ca were identified in the Oriental region with 2 cases in Oujda-Angad and Nador, then 4 infections for the region of Tangier-Tetouan-Al Hoceima in Tangier-Assilah and Larache.
