RSK: National Trader's Day with digitization and social coverage as priority

Digitization and social coverage are at the center of the activities commemorating the National Trader’s Day, organized from June 21 to 24 at the initiative of the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services of the Rabat-Salé-Kénitra region ( CCIS-RSK).

The objectives of this celebration are to highlight the vital role played by merchants in the national economy and to affirm the commitment of the Chamber to support the implementation of development projects undertaken by the Kingdom.

Thus, the headquarters of the CCIS-RSK in Rabat is hosting an event under the sign “digitalization, a fundamental tool for the modernization of trade”, with a view to highlighting the role of the Moroccan trader as a central actor in all development and to collect the proposals and expectations of representatives of traders, able to guarantee the exercise of their rights in a favorable socio-economic environment.

The celebration of this Day, under the auspices of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, is part of efforts to promote and support internal trade, modernize the sector and accelerate its digitization. , according to the organizers.

It is marked by the organization of workshops and the development of institutional stands to present the services offered to traders, with the participation of the supervisory ministry, public establishments, trade unions and professional federations.

The program of this event also includes debate sessions led by experts, academics, bankers and trade unionists on several themes including the digitization of trade and government measures in favor of the modernization of the sector, the central role of the trader in the development , as well as bank financing and qualification of the human element.

The participants in the work of this meeting will also discuss the legal and economic situation of the trader and the problems with which he is confronted, the implementation of the project for the generalization of medical and social coverage and the importance of the tax declaration in business management.

The president of the CCIS-RSK, Hassan Sakhi, indicated that this event, which is part of the celebration of the National Trader’s Day (June 21), is an opportunity to reflect on the main achievements made. in favor of the merchant and lay the foundations for the modernization, restructuring and development of the sector.

It also aims, he continued, to support and accelerate the process of digitization of the sector and to encourage the use of digital tools with high added value at the service of traders and consumers.

For his part, the president of the regional trade commission, Mohamed Ouaffalk, noted, in a similar statement, that this meeting aims to find solutions to the problems facing the trader, in particular the socio-economic repercussions caused by the pandemic. .

It should be noted that the celebration activities of this day will be marked by the organization of workshops and institutional stands to present the services offered to traders, with the participation of the supervisory ministry, public establishments, trade unions and professional federations.
