Morocco extends state of health emergency until July 31

The Council of Government, meeting this Thursday in Rabat, under the leadership of the head of government Aziz Akhannouch, decided to extend the duration of the state of health emergency throughout the national territory, for an additional month, from 30 June to July 31, as part of efforts to combat the coronavirus epidemic.

The Minister Delegate to the Prime Minister in charge of Relations with Parliament, and government spokesperson, Mustapha Baitas, declared during a press conference following the meeting of the Council of Government, that the executive has approved Thursday, draft decree No. 2.22.448 on the state of emergency, presented by the Minister of the Interior, Abdelouafi Laftit.
