Casablanca Stock Exchange: Opening down

The Casablanca Stock Exchange was moving into negative territory on Thursday morning, its main index, the MASI, dropping 0.11% to 12,012.14 points (pts).

Shortly after the opening, the MSI 20, an index comprising the 20 most liquid stocks, fell by 0.13% to 967.05 pts and the Casablanca ESG 10, a thematic index which calculates the performance of the prices of socially responsible companies, remained stable at 904.59 pts (-0.01%).

At the individual level, the largest drops were recorded by Microdata (-2.13% to 541.2 dirhams (DH)), Aluminum du Maroc (-1.59% to 1,550 DH), CIH (-1.4 % to 316 DH), Sodep-Marsa Maroc (-1.16% to 256 DH) and TGCC (-0.72% to 137 DH).

On the upside, the best performances were posted by Douja Prom Addoha (+1.56% to 7.82 DH), Alliances (+1.17% to 61.49 DH) and Disway (+0.6% to 835 DH). The day before, the MASI had closed with a loss of 1.12%.
