Active cases rise to 13,533 nationwide

The increase in active cases under treatment continues in Morocco. This Wednesday, June 22, the epidemiological report from the Ministry of Health reports 13,533 active cases (1.13%) under treatment nationwide. Similarly, 12,812 tests were carried out in 24 hours, bringing the national total of tests since the start of the pandemic to 11,829,455.

In addition, Morocco has recorded five (5) deaths due to Covid-19 in the past 24 hours. One death in Nouacer (Casablanca-Settat region), 1 death in Sidi Slimane (Rabat-Salé-Kénitra region), 1 death in Taroudannt (Souss-Massa region), 1 death in Beni Mellal (Béni Mellal-Khénifra region) , and one death in the city of Oued Ed-Dahab (Dakhla-Oued Noun region). The national total of deaths since the start of the pandemic therefore rises to 16,092. The fatality rate stood at 1.35% on Wednesday.

Still in its daily epidemiological report, the Ministry of Health reports ten (10) new severe cases admitted to intensive care in 24 hours for a national total of 49 critical cases this Wednesday. The cases under artificial respiration decreased to 8 cases while a new intubated case was identified.

Morocco has also recorded 1,591 recoveries, bringing the national total since the start of the pandemic to 1,163,172 remissions. The cure rate stands at 97.52% this Wednesday.

With regard to vaccination, the number of beneficiaries of the first dose of the vaccine since the start of the national campaign reached 24,850,905, the second dose 23,334,910 while the number of beneficiaries of the D3 reached 6,523,920. , said the Ministry of Health.
