Emirates Logistics, a subsidiary of the Emirati group Sharaf, inaugurated its new logistics center “Tangier Automotive City” on Friday.

This inauguration also attests to the willingness of the two countries to increasingly support economic cooperation and to benefit from their significant experiences in vital value-added sectors, including the fields of transport and logistics, added the Emirati minister;

The opening ceremony of the center, which offers just-in-time logistics services on finished products, raw materials and spare parts for industrial companies, took place in the presence of the Minister of Economy of the United Arab Emirates. (UAE), Abdullah Bin Touq Al Marri, the Minister of Economy and Finance, Nadia Fettah Alaou and the Minister of Transport and Logistics, Mohamed Abdeljalil.

Abdullah Bin Touq Al Marri further explained that the indicators of the evolution of Emirati investments in Morocco, especially in recent years, in terms of quantity and quality, confirm that Morocco has become an important pole of attraction for investments. strangers.

For his part, the Minister of Transport and Logistics, Mohamed Abdeljali, said that this new Emirati investment project will improve the logistics offer in northern Morocco, create new job opportunities and support economic competitiveness and export dynamism.

The new Emirati logistics platform, which covers an area of ​​14,500 m2, was built to the standards of international giants. The Director General of the Tangier Med Port Authority (TMPA), Mehdi Tazi Riffi, explained that Morocco is keen to provide investors in the logistics and industrial fields with these standards and this quality, in addition to the general dynamism of the economic situation. economy and quality export structures of the Tanger Med port.

He also pointed out that the investment component in Tangier Med has experienced strong growth and significant investment flows, which reflects the confidence of investors and the interest they place in a Moroccan economy that is moving forward. big steps.
