8,948 tests carried out in 24 hours and 7,252 active cases nationwide

In 24 hours, 8,948 PCR tests were carried out in Morocco for a national total of 11,752,284 tests carried out since the start of the pandemic. Thus, active cases under treatment nationwide increased to 7,252 cases (0.62%).

In its epidemiological report for this Tuesday, June 14, the Ministry of Health reports 37 critical cases admitted to intensive care nationwide, including seven (7) new admissions in the last 24 hours. The occupancy rate of resuscitation beds dedicated to Covid-19 stands at 0.7%. No case under intubation was identified on Tuesday while the total number of cases under artificial respiration stood at 7 cases.

In addition, Morocco has recorded one (1) death due to Covid-19 in the last 24 hours in the city of Rabat (Rabat-Salé-Kénitra region). The national total of deaths since the start of the pandemic therefore stands at 16,083. The fatality rate is still stable on Tuesday at 1.37%.

Morocco has also recorded 391 recoveries, bringing the national total since the start of the pandemic to 1,154,507 remissions, while the recovery rate stood at 98.02% on Tuesday.
