5,985 tests carried out in 24 hours, and 2,950 active cases at the national level

In 24 hours, 5,985 PCR tests were carried out in Morocco for a national total of 11,700,981 tests carried out since the start of the pandemic. Thus, active cases under treatment nationwide increased to 2,950 cases (0.25%).

In its epidemiological report for this Tuesday, June 7, the Ministry of Health reports 3 new cases admitted to intensive care in 24 hours, bringing the national total of critical cases to 19. The occupancy rate of intensive care beds dedicated to Covid- 19 stands at 0.4%. No case under intubation was identified on Tuesday while the total of cases under artificial respiration stood at 3.

In addition, Morocco has recorded two (2) deaths due to Covid-19 in the past 24 hours, in Casablanca (Casablanca-Settat region), and Agadir-Ida-Ou-Tanane (Souss-Massa region). The national total of deaths since the start of the pandemic therefore rises to 16,082, while the fatality rate stands at 1.37%.

Morocco has also recorded 299 recoveries, bringing the national total since the start of the pandemic to 1,152,002 remissions. The cure rate stands at 98.37% on Tuesday.

Regarding vaccination, the number of recipients of the first dose of the vaccine since the start of the national campaign reached 24,838,063, 23,319,946 received D2 while 6,457,231 received D3, reports the department of Khalid Ait Taleb.
