28 new admissions to REA for a national total of 158 severe cases

The occupancy rate of resuscitation beds stood at 3% this Thursday, June 30. In just 24 hours, 28 new severe cases were admitted to intensive care, bringing the national total to 158 critical cases. The cases under artificial respiration are 47 nationwide, and 9 other cases are under intubation, the Ministry of Health said in its daily epidemiological report.

The number of new tests carried out in 24 hours reached 15,509 for a national total of 11,933,555 tests carried out since the start of the pandemic. In addition, Morocco has recorded in the last 24 hours, two (2) deaths due to Covid-19.

Thus, one death was recorded in the city of Skhirate-Témara (Rabat-Salé-Kénitra region) and one death in Marrakech (Marrakech-Safi region), bringing the national total since the start of the pandemic to 16,109. The fatality rate stood at 1.32% this Thursday.

Morocco has also recorded 2,021 recoveries, bringing the national total since the start of the pandemic to 1,175,362 remissions. The recovery rate stands at 96.59% this Thursday, while the total number of active cases stands at 25,438 cases (2.09%).

With regard to vaccination, the number of beneficiaries of the first dose of the vaccine since the start of the national campaign reached 24,857,206, with 23,342,904 beneficiaries of the two doses while 6,556,187 benefited from the third dose of the vaccine, says the department of Khalid Ait Taleb.
