12,636 tests carried out in 24 hours, and 11,988 active cases nationwide

In 24 hours, 12,636 PCR tests were carried out in Morocco for a national total of 11,816,643 tests carried out since the start of the pandemic. Thus, active cases under treatment nationwide increased to 11,988 cases (1.01%).

In its epidemiological report for this Tuesday, June 21, the Ministry of Health reports 53 critical cases admitted to intensive care nationwide, including five (5) new admissions in the last 24 hours. The occupancy rate of resuscitation beds dedicated to Covid-19 stands at 1%. A case under intubation was identified on Tuesday while the total number of cases under artificial respiration stood at 12 cases.

In addition, Morocco has not recorded any deaths due to Covid-19 in the past 24 hours. The national total of deaths since the start of the pandemic therefore remains stable at 16,087. The case fatality rate fell to 1.35% on Tuesday.

Morocco has also recorded 1,460 recoveries, bringing the national total since the start of the pandemic to 1,161,581 remissions, while the recovery rate stood at 97.64% on Tuesday.
