“The spiritual leadership and prayers of King Mohammed VI, Commander of the Faithful, are precious to us,” said His Holiness Pope Francis on Wednesday when he received HM the King’s Advisor, André Azoulay, who came to greet the sovereign pontiff on the Place Saint Peter in the Vatican.

Accompanied by Rajae Naji El Mekkaoui, Ambassador of the King to the Holy See, and Professor Abdellah Ouzitane, President of the Hebrew Law Research Center in Bayt Dakira, André Azoulay transmitted to HH Pope Francis the fraternal and deeply friendly greetings of the King Mohammed VI recalling the historic impact of Pope Francis’ visit to Morocco in March 2019.

“A visit signed with the seal of exception and whose memory remains vivid in the hearts and in the memory of all Moroccans”declared André Azoulay, who came to Rome to participate alongside the Head of the Vatican Government, Mgr Pietro Parolin, in the symposium organized by the Moroccan Embassy to the Holy See at the Pontifical University to discuss “The Common Word and Active Spirituality”.
