Huawei Morocco launches the 1st edition of the “Huawei Morocco Intelligent Finance Summit”

Driven by the ambition to promote and stimulate the evolution of intelligent finance, Huawei Morocco organized the 1st edition of the “Huawei Morocco Intelligent Finance Summit” on Thursday, May 26, 2022 in Casablanca.

Organized around the theme: “Accelerating the digitalization of finance”, this major event attracted more than 100 clients, partners and finance experts from national and international institutions to discuss new trends in the development of digital finance.

Led by a panel of eminent speakers, the conference was structured around four important axes: Strategies, Business, Technologies and Ecosystems. The event served as a platform for exchanging experiences and knowledge between professionals in digital and smart finance.

Focusing their attention on the new challenges facing the world of financial services in the era of the digital economy, all participants shared their successful practices and digital transformation initiatives for a smart finance.

This first edition was enhanced by the intervention of multiple Huawei experts including Nicolas Yuanyu, Huawei Mediterranean Director, Enterprise Business Group, who declared:“As industries modernize and converge, the financial services industry is itself undergoing transformation – with operations moving to the cloud – powered by an ecosystem of connected devices, built for all scenarios. In this environment, Huawei is committed to accelerating the intelligent and inclusive transformation of financial services and forging an open smart banking ecosystem integrating finance with technology. »

For his part, Mounir Soussi, Vice President Cloud & AI Africa at Huawei, highlighted Huawei’s positioning as a leading agile and intelligent Cloud solutions provider serving the financial sector: “Huawei aims to be a strategic partner in the digital transformation of the financial sector. With its expertise and latest innovations, Huawei supports its partners in this key sector to reshape their closed ICT systems into open cloud platforms, based on artificial intelligence and thus enable them to achieve intelligent finance”.

El Mehdi EL Jair, Executive FSI Solution Manager, for his part, emphasized the need for banks to transform towards banking 4.0:“A bank capable today of facing the new challenges posed to traditional financial institutions, whether in terms of the arrival of new competitors such as BigTech or the change in habits of consumption of financial services. Today, this bank of the future is a bank that adopts new technologies such as the cloud, BigData or artificial intelligence to implement new business models such as lifestyle finance or embedded finance”.

During this unmissable meeting of intelligent finance, three strategic initiatives of Huawei were announced. They aim to transform financial institutions into fully equipped businesses based on the digital ecosystem:

Encourage institutions to fully embrace cloud-native strategies, to accelerate digital and intelligent convergence, creating a truly agile platform.

Deepen digitalization in all industry scenarios to improve the safe and secure transfer of data, unlocking the potential value of big data and advancing financial inclusion.

Promote the aggregation of different SaaS (Software as a Service) products to enable building an open ecosystem for all scenarios.
