Eqdom: NBI up 13% at the end of March 2022

Eqdom’s net banking income (NBI) stood at 142 million dirhams (MDH) in the first quarter of 2022, up 13% compared to the same period of 2021.

This development is explained by a “distortion of the mix of the portfolio in favor of interest-generating products and a rate effect on refinancing”, indicates the loan and credit specialist in a press release on its quarterly indicators.

At the end of March 2022, Eqdom production reached 518 MDH, down 11% compared to Q1-2021, despite a 13% increase in personal credit production, adds the press release, noting that production is “ globally impacted by the Omicron wave (agencies-clients) at the beginning of the year and by an automotive market which posted a decline of 6.3%, linked to the shortage of certain ranges, in particular premiums, on which Eqdom is position”.
