6,296 PCR tests carried out in 24 hours, and 903 active cases at the national level

In 24 hours, 6,296 PCR tests were carried out at regional and provincial levels for a national total of 11,591,919 tests carried out since the start of the pandemic. Thus, active cases under treatment at the national level increased to 903 cases (0.08%).

In its epidemiological report for this Friday, May 20, the Ministry of Health reports a new severe case admitted to intensive care in 24 hours, bringing the national total to 16 critical cases. The occupancy rate of resuscitation beds dedicated to Covid-19 fell this Friday to 0.3%. Only one case under intubation at the national level was identified this Friday while the total of cases under artificial respiration stood at 8 cases.

In addition, Morocco has not recorded any deaths due to Covid-19 in the past 24 hours. The national total of deaths since the start of the pandemic therefore remains stable at 16,075, as does the fatality rate which is still at 1.38%.

Morocco has also recorded 59 recoveries, bringing the national total since the start of the pandemic to 1,149,399 remissions. The healing rate stood at 98.54% this Friday.
