3,994 tests carried out in 24 hours, and 1,483 active cases at the national level

In 24 hours, 3,994 PCR tests were carried out in Morocco for a national total of 11,647,316 tests carried out since the start of the pandemic. Thus, active cases under treatment at the national level increased to 1,483 cases (0.13%).

In its epidemiological report for this Monday, May 30, the Ministry of Health reports a new severe case admitted to intensive care within 24 hours, bringing the national total to 13 critical cases. The occupancy rate of resuscitation beds dedicated to Covid-19 stands at 0.2%. No case under intubation was identified on Monday while the total number of cases under artificial respiration stood at 6 cases.

In addition, Morocco has not recorded any deaths due to Covid-19 in the past 24 hours. The national total of deaths since the start of the pandemic therefore remains stable at 16,076, as does the fatality rate which is still at 1.38%.

Morocco has also recorded 117 recoveries, bringing the national total since the start of the pandemic to 1,150,424 remissions. The cure rate stood at 98.5% on Monday.

With regard to vaccination, the number of recipients of the first dose of the vaccine since the start of the national campaign reached 24,831,126, 23,311,993 received D2 while 6,418,251 received D3, reports the department of Khalid Ait Taleb.
